Hadfi eld Wood's new ambassador is a real life WONDER WOMAN
WASTE wood specialists Hadfi eld Wood Recyclers are defi nitely not pulling a stunt with news of their latest ambassador – equestrian showjumper Georgina Armstrong, who played Gal Gadot’s stunt double in 2017 blockbuster Wonder Woman, writes SAMUEL McKEOWN.
The fi lm is the latest in a long list of box offi ce smash hits Georgina has provided stunt doubles for including, Thor (2011), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), The Amazing Spiderman (2012), and even an early casting role in 1990s classic Black Beauty.
Georgina, who works with fi lm stunt suppliers 'The Devil’s Horsemen', is a third generation stuntwoman and also performs car stunts as well as her equine-based exploits.
Speaking about her time on-set while working alongside A-List actress Gal Gadot, Georgina said: “Gal is a spectacular person with a real strong persona, who carries a lot of Wonder Woman’s qualities.
“Being part of the fi lm was incredible because I got to combine horses and stunts in Italy’s beautiful Amalfi Coast, and it was so empowering to wear my Amazonian costume.
“My favourite shoot was defi nitely Wonder Woman, but I get to travel the world. In 2015, I went to America with all of my personal showjumping horses for a fi lm called A Sunday Horse (2016).
“I even played the character Lauren Roubidaux, and my older
ESA gives cautious response to new government waste plans

Georgina is the latest high-profi le equestrian to switch her horses to Hadfi eld Wood Recycler’s equine bedding easibed.
She added: “Working professionally as a stunt rider is a demanding job, and I’m up riding my horse before 5am every day before I go to work - so saving time is essential for me.
“I have been a dedicated Hadfi eld's easibed user for over fi ve years, because it’s such low-maintenance bedding for the horses.
“I caught Hadfield’s attention when they discovered I was Wonder Woman’s stunt double – we got talking, and they offered to take me on as an ambassador.
Georgina has a few fi lms in the pipeline
“I love easibed. You get a lot more muck out of the stables without half as much bed wastage as you would with regular shavings.
“It’s fantastic at keeping the dust down, so if I have a horse that suff ers from dust allergies they have no problems on the easibed - plus, it doesn’t get stuck in their mane and tails.”
As well as working as a stuntwoman, Georgina’s other passion is showjumping, and competed at the the Liverpool International Horse Show between Christmas and New Year, where easibed was the bedding sponsor.
As for any future stunts, Georgina has a few fi lms in the pipeline including Wonder Woman 2, which is currently in pre-production.
encouragement to our industry that the Government is fi nally taking seriously both the challenges and opportunities in managing the UK’s resources.
"We welcome the ambitions to double resource effi ciency and eliminate avoidable waste by 2050.
“We are pleased the Government has listened to our calls to reform the PRN system. However, many of the measures it outlines are too focused on consumers. A truly circular economy will only come about when there is a strong demand for recycled materials."
