Focus on T shirts SOL’S Imperial Epson
T shirts are a staple clothing
accessory, used across all age ranges and for all types of activities and events. In addition to the basic short sleeve, crew neck, there are T shirt styles that include pockets, raglan sleeves and a variety of neck styles. In addition to the cut and

colour (with white and black still dominating), the designs can vary from vintage through to sports team branding. Although colourful designs are still popular, white or single colour graphics with simple slogans are much more common, making the T shirt an acceptable and fun gift. This is an opportunity for suppliers with the Epson SureColor SC-F2100 direct to garment digital press to create colourful and bespoke solutions.

Garment decorators should consider offering the basic tee because it forms the base of any outfit or uniform. For a lot of us, T shirts are part of our identity. As a business, they can become part of yours too. If you have a great idea for a T shirt, are looking for some other means to promote your business or interested in an additional avenue for revenue, then the basic tee can do all that and more.
Many markets can be targeted by a garment decorator with a printed tee, including merchandise, workwear, schoolwear, sports, events and charities, to name just a few.

www.printwearandpromotion.co.uk Top tips
1) Make sure your garment is loaded on your heat press properly. Always thread the T shirt and make sure the collar is off the heat press to avoid uneven pressure.
2) Follow application instructions for correct time, temperature and pressure
3) Record the measurements of graphic placements on sample items you create. So you can re-produce every item with the same measurements.
4) If you need to find the centre of a T shirt, fold the shirt in half lengthwise then again in ½, pinch the centre—when you open the shirt you should see a mark in the centre.
5) Some cuts of shirts make it difficult to find the shoulder seam. To work around this, measure from the highest point of the collar, where it sits on the neck, then off-centre of the shirt.
Roland DG
Roland DG has upped its garment customisation game with the release of the brand-new BT-12 direct to garment printer. This compact and user-friendly DTG printer is a true business in a box. I have been testing the new machine for the past month and it has certainly made an impression on me. Itʼs almost too good. Itʼs fast, itʼs really easy to use and the print quality is unbelievable. You donʼt even need RIP software; the interface is the same as an office printer. If you buy it, you wonʼt be able to stop playing with it!
