P&P LIVE! 2019 review
Barudan’s 35-year-old BEAT II
An exciting start to 2019 W
ith a modern twist on Henburyʼs stand and the addition of eight new styles in the range, positive reactions were received which is an exciting start to 2019!
The Henbury shirt range is expanding with the introduction of the Stretch Shirt range offered for both men and ladies. These shirts were well received due to their modern styling and contemporary stretch fabric. The menʼs three fit Oxford Shirts are continuing to grow offered in slim, regular and classic fits with two desirable corporate colours to choose from. They have been extremely popular since they were introduced in 2017 and are continually growing due to their ability to suit all.

ince AS Colour's UK launch in 2018, P&P LIVE! 2019 was the first opportunity for the brand to showcase its full range to the trade.
Due to the retail DNA of the brand with a 17 store retail estate, an important part of the sales process is for potential customers to see for themselves the cuts, fits and superior fabrics that differentiate AS from many mainstream imprint brands. P&P LIVE! was the ideal vehicle for this. Many existing customers who have not yet had the opportunity to visit the Marlow showroom made a specific trip to the show to see the full range. On top of this dozens of new accounts were opened and AS Colour is confident the show will pay for itself many times over with orders placed and new relationships forged
Retail orientated visitors were particularly interested in AS Colour's Social & Corporate compliance policy with particular interest in the Amfori BSCI social compliance initiative and Child labour free initiative both of which AS Colour subscribes to and many were amazed that the majority of garments were constructed using Australian cotton. Overall P&P LIVE! provided the perfect showcase, plus ideal vehicle to introduce the brand to many people and promote brand awareness.
With the successful introduction of the H597 Ladiesʼ short sleeved blouse in 2018, Henbury has introduced a new attractive light blue colour to the popular ladiesʼ style. Many visitors were impressed by the new colour which was complemented by the H719 Ladiesʼ long line open cardigan on the stand. A key attraction on Henburyʼs stand was the new H835 Unisex softshell jacket. Its modern styling and contrast side panels offer an alternative contemporary softshell within the market, at a competitive price point and wide size range it caters for all the customerʼs needs.
Another resounding success!
&P LIVE! 2019 proved to be another resounding success for the YES team, with both stands kept busy with visitors, who had travelled far and wide to attend. Interest levels were at a record high, and itʼs no wonder with all of the new products that were on display.
P
The exciting unveiling of DTG M-Series IOS, with ink cost reducing abilities, received a very high level of approval. As did the upgraded SWF KS Compact Series. In fact, the team from A Embroidery liked it so much that they bought one! The new DTG QM8 high-speed printer also received a lot of attention from visitors. Its speed (up to 450 prints an hour), clarity and precision made this machine a must-see product. The team also got the opportunity to catch up with some existing customers to hear how theyʼre getting along. Barry Perry, at 4 Points Branding, had nothing but nice things to say: “We love our Ricoma TC single- head and run it far too hard for a single-head but itʼs built to last and never lets us down. Weʼre considering getting another one just to double our output.” Overall, P&P LIVE! was an exhibition that you didnʼt want to miss!

What can I say, but brilliant. Printwear & Promotion LIVE! was another fantastic success
for us. We had a larger stand with all of our new and old products on display. Anyone who even walked passed our stand could not fail to see the bright colours and products on display. We were very busy all three days of the show. I was very humbled by the number of customers complimenting us on our staff, service and product range. So many customers told me they had recommended us to other companies. ETC Supplies is well-known all over the UK and Europe for our extensive range of quality embroidery backing. One visitor brought over a sample of backing that they buy from our competitors. He told me that he was having problems getting a good quality embroidery with it. I showed him our backing and he compared the two. I explained to him that the competitorʼs backing was mostly binder (glue) whereas ours was 95% fibre. The fibre is much more expensive than the binder so this is how competitors take short cuts to get the price down. The fibre does the job of holding the stitches in place whereas the binder just turns into dust. Next year we will have an even larger stand with even more products.
