P&P LIVE! 2019 review Inundated with enquiries E
XILE Technologies was inundated with enquiries for its computer to screen offerings – the SPYDER II CtS and FREEStyler DTS showing that computer to screen is fast replacing film positives as the preferred method for textile screen printers to make their screen stencils. EXILEʼs Digital Screen Room initiative is now in its third year having been launched at P&P LIVE! in
2017.There are now over 50 T shirt and textile screen printers in the UK using EXILEʼs computer to screen technology.
In addition Huddersfield-based H.G. Kippax & Sons showed EXILEʼs V-LUX Upright Exposure System combined with a unique docking system that converts the V-LUX Upright into a fully in-line exposure and washout (developing) system. The modification to the V-LUX cabinet means that after UV Exposure in the V-LUX unit, the screen frame is pushed on to a moving belt that then transports the screen into the TigerClean Developer unit. By adding a TigerClean Developer to a SPYDER II/V-LUX computer to screen setup the last labour intensive element of stencil screen- making is removed. The process becomes almost fully automated. In combination with a SPYDER II and V-LUX CtS system production volume of up to 50 screens per hour should be achievable… with a single screen room operator running the SPYDER II and V-LUX/TigerClean inline system.
A valuable experience enjoyed I
n Roly's annual European trade fair calendar there is an important event at Printwear & Promotion LIVE!. The passage of the brand through the fair was very satisfactory, being able to exhibit many of the new products for 2019 and presenting a wide catalogue and each one of the collections.
It is worth mentioning the professionalism of the public and the visitors who had the opportunity to be assisted at the stand of the brand, located in the front row, a privileged position. The presentation of Rolyʼs new products has had a very good acceptance specially WINTER, SPORT and WORKWEAR. In the Sport area the new technical clothing models MONACO, BUGATTI, BAHRAIN and MELBOURNE, designed to practice sports in a comfortable and stylish way.
Nice presentation on the collection of backpacks and accessories, the addition of a line of new bags and new caps for sports and outwear. Again the Roly team has enjoyed a professional and valuable experience at the exhibition.

The best show yet! T
his yearʼs P&P LIVE! proved to be another successful show for Just Hoods by AWDis. Hailed as Just Hoodsʼ best show yet, the team enjoyed three really busy days on stand D10, and were delighted with the feedback and ideas provided by customers, both old and new. Customers were able to see that some of the new styles, colours and sizes for 2019 were a direct result of Just Hoods taking on board their feedback from previous years. The brandʼs new styles for 2019 formed a focal point on the stand, including the sporty chic Girlie Cropped Hoodie (JH016), and the must-have Surf Hoodie (JH017) in an array of trendy pastels. Visitors were also keen to check out the new colours on offer for existing styles, with mustard and peach perfect being favourites. Just Hoods would like to thank everyone who visited and supported the brand at the event.

To kick off our 50th year in business, we decided to exhibit at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! for the first time since…well, we think about 12 years. Our three rules for exhibiting are: Rule 1: Have something to show that no-one else is talking about. In our case, thatʼs American Apparel Fine Jersey, everything about Independent Trading and organic clothing. Rule 2: Donʼt be boring. We do very much appreciate the challenge of excitement at a B2B T shirt show. 50 years in the business make it easy to be jaded but it is so much more fun to bring a skate ramp to the NEC and hire some of the best riders in the country. Whoop. Rule 3: Make friends. We need your help for this one. We had a blast in Birmingham, but would love to make some new friends and new customers.

Printwear & Promotion Live 2019 has already proven to be quite a success for Screen Print World.
We had large amounts of interest in both the manual screen printing press and the new M&R Diamondback E automatic screen printing press, with many commenting on how nice it was to see an automatic press at the show. With many enquiries and secured orders we look forward to supporting screen printers make their dreams become a reality. Many companies were looking to branch out into screen printing after already being sufficient in embroidery or vinyl transfers. Several companies wanted to take control of their printing, instead of outsourcing it they wanted to learn more about the process to bring it in house. The Screen Print Workshop was also very popular, it was fantastic to see so many people wanting to know more about screen printing and getting some hands on experience printing their own T shirt.
