Ri 100, which was launched at the exhibition last year. Resolute DTG and TheMagicTouch jointly held a prize draw for one lucky person to win the printer. The winner, which was drawn out of the hat by P&P editor Melanie Attlesey, was Frankie Buttigieg of Frankʼs Creations. Visitors to both Amaya Sales UK and Adelcoʼs stands were able to

receive information on the new Kornit Storm HD6 industrial printer, which entered the market earlier this year. The Storm HD6 allows small to mid-size businesses to drastically reduce their cost per print, enjoy high-definition image quality and improved hand feel, with an enhanced colour management experience.
Hotronix Dual Air Fusion IQ machine received its UK debut on stand, along with the Stahlsʼ Hotronix Power Platen. And finally, Target presented visitors with a challenge to test out the Stahlsʼ EZ Weeding Table, which improves HTV weeding by 80%. A huge amount of interest was received and those that took on the challenge came away knowing that weeding can be done so much quicker. And finally, Doro Tape presented the new Image Flex Turbo 4036 on stand. This digital print, heat pressable, PU film can be used to produce full colour high resolution graphics and logos for garment personalisation on almost any textile.

Roland DG wasnʼt satisfied with bringing a new DTG printer and digital dye sublimation printer to the exhibition, but also displayed on stand a new laser foiling device and a preview of a flatbed DTG printer.
The LD-80 laser foiling device allows users to enter personalised text, upload a graphic and with precision and ease transfer these designs onto polycarbonate, acrylic and plastics. This device allows garment decorators to diversify their businesses. Visitors to the stand couldnʼt miss the presence of the

And finally, visitors to the Your Embroidery Serviceʼs stand could see live demonstrations of both the new DTG Digital G4 and the DTG-QM8. According to John-Paul Burton, the DTG- QM8 high speed industrial printer received a huge amount of praise from visitors.
Dye sublimation and transfer printing
The ground-breaking digital dye sublimation printer, the Texart RT-640M was, as expected, one of the star attractions on the Roland DG stand. The printerʼs unique printing capabilities make it possible to print directly onto polyester-based fabrics and onto dye sublimation transfer paper, using the same ink and RIP. Delivering an unparalleled price to performance ratio, the RT-640M offers textile print suppliers a truly versatile digital dye sublimation print solution. On Ghostʼs stand visitors could view live demonstrations of the innovative Ghost Sublime Toner. Simply replace CMYK toner cartridges with a set of Sublime CMYK Toners and you are ready to print. This product was specifically developed for transfer to polyester textiles. Print your design on regular copy paper and transfer it directly onto polyester and polymer-coated textiles such as T shirts, pillows, and bags. Transfer printing remains a popular and straightforward method of garment decoration for those entering the market. A vast number of exhibitors that cater to this market were on hand throughout the three days with plenty of new products and advice in spades. This year saw Target Transfers bring a whole myriad of new heat presses and materials to the exhibition. The Stahlsʼ

XT-640S. This flatbed DTG printer has ample flatbed area to print up to 12 T shirts in a single print run. This printer was just a preview and its release is still pending in the UK, but when it is released it is sure to transform more than a few garment printing businesses. And last, but not least, on Adelcoʼs stand visitors could witness live demonstrations of folding and bagging machines from Thermatron. These machines generated a lot of interest at the show, with speed and efficiency to streamline production where it can become bottlenecked.

All in all exhibitors did not fail in their attempt to wow visitors with new product innovations, live demonstrations and expert advice. Printwear & Promotion LIVE!ʼs 30th anniversary paid testament to the fact that the UKʼs annual exhibition for the garment decoration industry is a launch pad for new equipment. Hopefully next yearʼs exhibition will see much of the same innovation brought to market – only time will tell!
