s a world brand, Result has always taken the burden of waste seriously. This is shown in three new styles that join the Result Genuine Recycled collection in 2022.
Result insists and encourages all supply partners to pursue correct environmental practices, especially the recycling of waste materials and the recirculation of waste heat generated during dyeing and printer-specifi c garments are packed in bulk to reduce packaging.
Key styles are individually bagged using recycled plastic plus going forward the packaging of all products will be converted to opaque compostable/ biodegradable bags ensuring Result bags keep the garments pristine on their journey to customers but leave no environmental trace. To minimise fl exible packaging litter on the environment, Result uses recycled board in its cartons, recycled wooden pallets for shipping and they wrap pallets in BioZ oxo-biodegradable plastic: an opaque wrap whose treatment triggers degradation after six to 12 months and breaks down fully, reverting to just carbon and oxygen. There is no trace left to pollute the environment; it does not form micro-beads and can be collected and/ or recycled with other plastics without causing any contamination. As an importer/ exporter, Result supports a levy into the Packaging Waste Directive in order that the plastic and cardboard they place on the market in the UK and EU can be reused. By working with speciality fabrics made from recycled plastic, the Genuine Recycled range from Result shows the commitment to produce sustainable, ethical garments whose production consumes less energy and water, and gives off fewer emissions than conventional yarns.

made from super soft recycled fabrics. The R240X is breathable, windproof and showerproof, with a TPU membrane to provide added weather protection. This new winter jacket has been added to the Result Genuine Recycled range as it uses materials made from recycled plastic bottles, post-industrial waste and polyester materials so offers a sustainable equivalent to conventional yarns. It features contrast- colour pocket zips and a YKK front zip though chin guard, a fl eece lined hood, inner storm fl ap, soft bound cuffs and an inside pocket. It is ‘End of Life’ recyclable and packed in biodegradable bags and recycled cartons. The R240X is tag free and ready to brand by embroidery and transfer print, with a left chest decoration access. Also new for 2022, the R900F Female Fit Recycled 3-Layer Printable Softshell. A soft feel, recycled soft shell jacket, ideal for all decoration types including print. This new 300gsm softshell jacket from Result Genuine Recycled is constructed from TOPGREEN Environmental-friendly materials, made from 19 recycled PET-bottles offering a sustainable equivalent to conventional yarns. The three-layer construction is made up of a 100% TOPGREEN recycled polyester outer, a waterproof 8000mm, breathable 1000g and windproof TPU mid-layer membrane and a 100% polyester recycled microfl eece inner for additional warmth. Features include a full front YKK zip with chin guard and zip pull, refl ective shoulder trim front and back, top stitch yoke detail front and back, zipped chest and front pockets, shaped body panels, open cuff and waist, stand up collar and a hang loop.
