What’s New: Neutral
The story behind Tiger Cotton N
As a manufacturer of sustainable clothing and merchandise, Neutral is always working to create a better future for cotton farmers and our planet –– and now, the wildlife tigers of India as well.
eutral’s newest product initiative, Tiger Cotton, has taken the brand deep inside Madhya Pradesh in Central India, where two of the oldest nature reserves in India exist. These reserves are the home for thriving wildlife, untouched biodiversity and the iconic Bengal Tiger.
In between these two reserves live around 14,000 small cotton farmers, whose fi elds function as important Tiger Corridors. To preserve these corridors, Neutral teamed up with WWF India and Laudes Foundation to be part of a pilot study to promote organic cotton agriculture in the surrounding areas of Madhya Pradesh. Neutral encourages farmers to go from conventional to organic cotton farming, so farmers, tigers, and the wildlife can thrive without the toxic impact of pesticides and chemicals. The average yearly output of a cotton farmer in Neutral’s Tiger Cotton program is 294 kilos. So far, 6,000 cotton farmers have enrolled to convert their fi elds into organic cotton. Neutral’s goal is to convert all 14,000 cotton farmers in Madhya Pradesh and help the area become truly organic, which means preservation of biodiversity, establishing healthy corridors and sustaining the thriving wildlife.
One big family
Additionally, Neutral is proud to say that it has started to include organic cotton in conversion from other locations in India. Neutral is welcoming them to the Tiger Cotton family and is working hard to tell and share their stories.

By applying these standards, Neutral has set some objective criteria for the production of every single Neutral and Tiger Cotton product, which the brand hopes can inspire others to follow. That is okay!
