What’s New: AS Colour
Ending 2021 on a high D
espite global supply chain issues and the continuing pandemic, in 2021 AS Colour
UK posted a 65% increase in imprint sales. The year was topped off with the company appearing in the top 20 of over 100 companies and brands featured in the 2021 Ethical Fashion Report (EFR), which grades work in five different performance areas. During the pandemic virtual meetings with factories allowed the brand to understand its capacities and what issues it was facing. This meant, with adjustments, responsible purchasing practices could continue, creating a steady flow of work while also allowing delays without penalty. The EFR provides a level of accountability that aids the brand’s responsibility. AS Colour scored an overall grade A and also an A for Environmental Sustainability on a par with many global lifestyle brands, such as Nike.
Globally the company has moved to much larger warehouse facilities in Australia, New Zealand and also California to accommodate more stock and to keep up with just in time demand.
The company will be building on this success in many ways for 2022 while always being guided by three key principles: Quality is key. Respect the details. Keep it simple.

A challenging year
Operationally AS Colour will be scouting for a new 70,000sq ft warehouse facility, so core styles can be held in depth, and increasing stock capacity threefold for the range. The new facility will also act as a hedge against any further global supply issues. While 2021 was a challenging year for all retail, the Shoreditch shop performed well, as well as being an unofficial showroom for trade customers. Further retail shop properties will be considered in 2022.
Additionally in February 2022 AS Colour will be recruiting a field based national sales manager to further increase coverage for the brand. AS Colour looks forward to seeing old and new customers at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! in February 2022.
