everyone’s love for the movies. Denis explains: ‘We support local talent and community initiatives through our year- long event calendar. This year, we also launched some incredible original productions and seasonal shows that were well received by audiences.” In Super Heroes Reloaded, MOTIONGATE Dubai’s superhero crew came together again to display their super skills, with thrilling stunts, acrobatics and comedy. Resident movie director - Felicia M. Reel, helmed several
shows at the famous Hollywood Theater within the park. To give guests a taste of the thrills, chills and spills of a real movie shoot, Felicia and her movie crew shot Into the Deadlands: Ice Storm - an original action movie, presented by MOTIONGATE Dubai. All the stunts, dances and behind- the-scenes fun of a real-life movie shoot were captured in the show – an action-packed adventure that follows the journey of two rogue strangers from a post-apocalyptic world. “Into the Deadlands: Ice Storm is an entertaining and thrilling mix of breathtaking stunts, adrenalin-pumping action sequences
and jaw-dropping stagecraft; designed for the whole family to watch. As the story progressed, episodes were added to ensure repeat visitors could see something new with every visit,” says Denis. Holi Hai by MOTIONGATE Dubai was another stunning
musical performance, celebrating the Indian festival of colours, mounted by local talent, and well received by the UAE’s significant South Asian diaspora. “Of course, our incredible ride experiences inspired by
Hollywood hits continue to keep guests thrilled,” continues Denis. For families, MOTIONGATE Dubai is a value-packed entertainment destination that children love – their favourite movie characters can be encountered everywhere, even beyond the rides. Guests can choose from nine themed family restaurants for sit-down meals, plus a wide range of quick dining kiosks for grab-and-go options located throughout the park. Official film licensed merchandise is sold across 15 themed retail shops in addition to a wide selection of kiosks and carts, infusing the customer journey with movie narratives.
Loved by guests “Guests truly love the park; and the overwhelmingly positive comments left on social media platforms as well as third party, review aggregator sites such as TripAdvisor are a testament to this, says Denis proudly. Its guests include a high percentage of repeat visitors from the region, as well as international tourists who are sure to include a day at MOTIONGATE Dubai on their itinerary.
In the spirit of always delivering more, the theme park is now gearing up to launch two blockbuster thrill rides later in 2021. Global content leader Lionsgate has selected MOTIONGATE Dubai, to launch its first-ever attractions based on its hit films, Now You See Me and John Wick. The two record-breaking rollercoasters, Now You See Me: High Roller and John Wick: Open Contract are located within MOTIONGATE Dubai’s Lionsgate zone. After the official opening of these world-first rollercoasters later in 2021, it is understood that MOTIONGATE Dubai will hold the record for the maximum number of rollercoasters in a single theme park in the Middle East.
“While the Middle East may have several theme parks, none of them bring together imagination, adventure and action in a winning, guest-friendly package quite like MOTIONGATE Dubai,” says Denis.
