Adventure World unleashes new thrill ride Goliath

A

dventure World, Western Australia’s only theme park, opened for its 36th season this month and proudly debuted its brand new thrill ride. Manufactured by

Intamin, Goliath is a giant pendulum ride that invites 32 thrill- seekers at a time to experience the thrill of flying, as the massive pendulum swings you beyond horizontal, up to a whopping 120 degrees in the air and slowly turns you around. “We are delighted to launch yet another world-class attraction

into Western Australia as we continue to strengthen Adventure World’s place as a must-visit theme park,” said Adventure World CEO, Andrew Sharry. This new addition joins over 25 other rides and attractions

available to experience at Adventure World. Other rides include the heart thumping, adrenaline pumping roller coaster Abyss – rated as the country’s best roller coaster when it was first unleashed and Kraken; the longest, tallest and steepest funnel water slide on the planet.

Splash Cabin debuts at Aquafantasy waterpark

ADVERT

Polin Waterparks installed the world’s first Splash Cabin at Aquafantasy Waterpark in Selçuk, Izmir, Turkey in July. Splash Cabin is a unique game that allows two players to engage in a fun, water-fueled battle with animated competitors using an interactive screen. Guests play from inside a beach- bungalow-style cabin and score points by hitting moving targets while trying to avoid being hit themselves by waterjets shooting from screen-embedded nozzles. Players earn points for hitting targets, and the loser is doused with a water-splash surprise. Polin partnered with Lagotronics to create Splash Cabin. Together, the firms

have begun an imaginative collaboration developing new, original interactive waterslide experiences for both water sliding and water gaming. Muharrem Atilla, manager of Aquafantasy, said: “The Splash Cabin is a completely new attraction, even for us. It combines so many elements that deliver guest satisfaction. Multiple guests can play simultaneously, the queues move quickly due to the limited game timing, and they can even share their experiences on social media, which expands exposure of the attraction to potential new fans who aren’t even at the park.”
