leading tourist destination in Brazil, the Grande Hotel Sao Pedro prides itself on providing a luxurious hydro spa setting. Now, however, with the
addition of the Aquacircus Splash Park, the hotel has added an interactive element to provide young families with an extra incentive to visit. With the aim of attracting this new market, the Grande Hotel Sao Pedro contracted Empex Watertoys to design and supply the water features for the new attraction. With manufacturing facilities based in Toronto, Canada, Empex has been designing water features for over thirty years. Located on a 900 square metre tract of land next to the hotel,
the new area has significantly increased young family visitation. Catering to young children is especially important when it comes to choosing an attraction for the family. Kids have tremendous ‘pester power’, which will sway the parents to one facility over another if there is a strong attraction for the kids.
Award winning designs The Grande Hotel Sao Pedro Aquacircus concept has won both innovation and best product awards at the World Waterpark Association and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. A highly interactive water playground, the splashpark has zany play structures and surrounding water features which utilize all the categories of creative interactivity in one circus of water. The new attraction contains sixty water features in the
Aquacircus theme, presenting an overall impression of a dynamic and colorful circus of water events, allowing hotel guests to relax while their children are burning off that never- ending energy. Due to the hot Brazilian sun and chlorinated water, Empex equipment is especially suited for the application. Low heat conductivity, as opposed to steel, is friendlier to little hands.
