Each Lumina night walk draws inspiration from local culture and the event site in order to reach out and communicate to the audience in a universal manner. Rainforest Lumina is a unique multisensory experience

that perfectly complements the zoo’s rich, natural backdrop, offering visitors the opportunity to be inspired by the wonders of nature as they explore a tropical rainforest by night. Danny explains, “As part of the journey, you will get to meet a group of superheroes who will be part of your adventure. This mysterious creature crew embodies the collective spirit of unity—We are One—and reflects the shared responsibility that we have, to give back to the rainforest and our planet. Guests will be charmed by the interactive zones that will bring out their inner child.” Sing Like an Animal demonstrates how the earth plays music for those that will listen. Guests create magic together by using their whispers and songs to make the Creature Crew appear from the jungle.

With the overarching theme “We are one”, Rainforest Lumina, a multimedia night walk in Singapore Zoo seeks to drive home the message that humans, animals and nature are inter-connected, with each having a vital role to play to sustain life on earth. Park World caught up with project lead Mr Danny Tan, to find out more about what the experience has to offer
Call of the Wild is a visual narrative of how the Creature
Crew bands together in times of adversity to overcome all challenges and protect the jungle. Play Like an Animal embraces the mischievous and playful nature of the Creature Crew and encourages guests to join in their fun.
Inspired by sounds and creatures Wall of Fame captures the essence of the Creature Crew’s motto – “We are One,” in which guests can expect to leave with a photo memory with their Creature Crew friend at the end of the experience. Inspired by sounds and creatures that live in the
rainforest, the musical pieces heard throughout Rainforest Lumina have also been composed specifically for this experience, using Southeast Asian musical instruments. In the development process, the team deliberately chose to use technology only where it would help bring people closer together in a public space. Therefore, technology was applied where the team was certain that it would not overshadow the entire bonding experience. For the last 45 years, Singapore Zoo has continuously
