Casino innovation to take spotlight at SBC Summit Malta

Casino innovation will be a key focus at the upcoming SBC Summit Malta, taking place on June 11 at the InterContinental Hotel in St. Julian’s. Formerly known as the Casino Beats Summit, the event expects 5,500 attendees and promises a deep dive into emerging trends, technology and strategies reshaping the casino industry landscape.

The dedicated Casino Product Excellence track will open the summit’s core agenda, with expert-led sessions exploring developments such as sweepstake casinos, gamification in slots, and evolving player expectations. SBC CEO and Founder, Rasmus Sojmark emphasised that while the event has evolved, so too have industry challenges and innovations, particularly in the

casino sector. Highlights include a panel on whether gamification is moving slots too far from traditional gameplay, featuring insights from Michael Foster (FEG) and Dr Eyal Loz (Ruby Play). Another key session, ‘The Art of the Sequel’, will discuss modernising successful titles and leveraging influencers to appeal to shifting audiences.

The panel ‘Platforms and Aggregators: Catalysts or Constraints?’ will assess the evolving role of content platforms and their value to operators.

Beyond casino-focused sessions, the summit will include tracks on regulation, sports betting, and marketing, alongside interactive workshops for hands-on learning.
