Welcome to Casino International – THE SUNSHINE edition. Yes. The sun’s out. Finally.
I know Brits are meant to talk about the weather, but seriously… THE SUN! Thank the Lord. I feel like Superman, standing in the sun just letting it nourish my soul after so many months crawling around in darkness. Anyway, that’s the weather update taken care of; let’s talk about the April issue! Firstly, we have a whopping feature celebrating
NOVOMATIC’s 45th anniversary. They asked us to send over the tallest member of the team, so we secured Ben in a wooden box and sent him off to lower Austria for a tour of the HQ. Because of his elevated POV, we got some excellent views of the building without needing a drone. Joking aside, thanks to NOVOMATIC and our guide, Alexandra Lindlbauer, for their time and hospitality. Along the way, Ben squatted down to have a face-to-face conversation with Member of the Executive Board, Stefan Krenn. Catch all of this NOVOMATIC goodness from page 10, and congratulations again to the company for achieving this incredible milestone in the company’s history. Oh, and can we have Ben back please (they are using him to replace the forklift trucks in their warehouse as I understand it). We’re also starting a new series this month, dishing out some love to the key casinos still delivering amazing experiences across Europe. Pasino Grand of Aix-en-Provence is the first casino to take centre stage, and you can expect more of these incredible venues to receive some love in the coming months and issues. Elsewhere in the issue, Roger Redfearn-Tyrzyk, Vice President Global Gaming at IDnow, takes us through the changes in Brazil (for the first time ever, Brazilian operators can serve local players), while our usual local experts bring you latest from North America, LATAM, Macau and Africa. As always, we have Northridge Law’s Melanie Ellis updating us on UK Legal matters, while Better Change’s engagement director, Rob Mabbett, explains why Better Change’s approach to safer gambling is very different from the norm. There’s still plenty more in the issue for you to discover yourselves, including a juicy feature on casino seating and another on slot machine providers, keeping punters both comfortable and entertained in equal measures. Right, enough of this nonsense; I’m off to sit in the garden before winter comes back. Be seeing you.
