BRASIL – Presidente Bolsonaro a favor de la legalización del Juego

l Diputado federal Newton Cardoso Junior, presidente de la Comisión de Turismo, escribió, el jueves pasado, en
su cuenta de Facebook: “Estuvimos hoy con el presidente Jair Bolsonaro y le entregamos un queso muy especial de la región de Mantiqueira, como un regalo del que fue gobernador, Newton Cardoso. También hablamos sobre el desarrollo del turismo, como la legalización de los juegos de azar, que tiene el apoyo del presidente Bolsonaro”. El mensaje del presidente de la Comisión de Turismo ha
sido tomado como la más clara expresión de soporte para la apertura de casinos de juego en Brasil. El congresista le dijo al presidente de la república que está a favor de regular la actividad, especialmente en los casinos turísticos y que esta es una de sus prioridades en la Comisión de Turismo de la Cámara de Diputados. El apoyo para los casinos en Brasil se dio recientemente en una encuesta realizada en las redes sociales por la congresista federal Joice Hasselmann (PSL-SP), líder del gobierno del Congreso, quien preguntó sobre la reapertura de los casinos a sus seguidores. Hace un mes, los parlamentarios de la Comisión de Turismo, liderados por el congresista Newton Cardoso Jr., se reunieron con el presidente de la Cámara, Rodrigo Maia, para presentar los proyectos prioritarios para alentar al sector y solicitar una votación rápida sobre estas propuestas. En el tercer punto de la petición aparece la solicitud de aprobación del proyecto de ley 442/91, que legaliza toda actividad de juego en todo el país, no solo en los casinos turísticos, sino en todo Brasil.
URUGUAY – Impulsan ley para permitir casinos flotantes

nte la próxima reglamentación de apuestas deportivas en Brasil, y el potencial que existe en legislación para casinos y el juego en general en este país, cuya
población cruza las fronteras del sur para divertirse en las salas de juego y casinos uruguayos, el pequeño país del sur latinoamericano empieza a ver formas de defender su mercado de juegos de azar. La medida tiene un mercado ideal al frente de sus costas del Rio de La Plata, de donde miles de argentinos cruzan a los casinos de la “Costa Azul” uruguaya, y la propuesta legislativa dice, que esto, “permitiría a los turistas hacer otro tipo de paseos, ver diferentes espectáculos y en definitiva

mid-August: “We were with President Jair Bolsonaro today and gave him a very special cheese from the Mantiqueira region as a gift.” The former Minas Gerais governor Newton Cardoso also talked about the development of tourism, with the legalization of gambling in the
country, which he said, “also has the support of president Bolsonaro.” The message of the president of the Tourism Commission has been taken as the clearest expression of support for the opening of casinos in Brazil. The congressman said clearly that the president of the republic is in favour of regulating the activity, especially in tourist casinos and that this is one of his priorities in the Tourism Committee in Congress. Support for casinos in Brazil was recently given in a
social media survey conducted by federal Congresswoman Joice Hasselmann, leader of the Congressional Government, who asked her followers about the reopening casinos. A month ago the representatives of the Committee on Tourism, led by Newton Cardoso Jr., met with House Speaker Rodrigo Maia to present gaming legislation priority projects and requested a quick vote on these proposals. Third item in the gaming legislation proposals shows approval of Bill 442/91, which legalises all gambling activity throughout the country, not only in tourist resorts, but throughout Brazil.
