As the name suggests, it provides a common single-unit platform, but with a physical rather than virtual or video game generator on the top depending on the casino venue’s requirements. Individual units mean players can start and finish at their own pace – which can mean more handle for the casino operator. It is a win-win situation. This recently released breakthrough form-factor, Universal Cabinet has also been shortlisted for Best UK Table Game Product of the Year at the British Casino Awards, during the upcoming ICE exhibition. Available in both video and automated formats, the product demonstrates craps, roulette, blackjack and baccarat games and is taking the industry by storm.


CI: Were they developed with a particular type of casino or customer in mind? TŽ: The product was developed due to demands on the market, players need and our professional team always seeking towards innovations and ability to deliver luxury products. Due to multiple use of the product having complete configuration flexibility with smaller flexible footprint we’re targeting customers across all of our markets not only in EMEA region but across the world.


CI: Can you see any area in which the company has learned from past mistakes and refined its approach to become more effective for its customers, in any market? TŽ: There is an old saying: “you have two ears and one mouth


for a reason” and that reason is to listen. We listen to our customers, our players, our sales force as well as our technicians. That allows us to move forward with strategies based on facts rather than just intuition. Innovation for just innovation’s sake rarely translates into success. We need to know what voids exist in the players’ preferred gaming experiences and listening is paramount to Interblock identifying and filling those voids. Interblock design is a core element of the company’s philosophy and the one that should differentiate us from our competition. We all make


mistakes in every aspect but it is important to acknowledge and recognise them so you can move forward stronger and better.


CI: What does 2020 – and of course ICE – hold for Interblock? TŽ: It’s Interblock’s 23rd consecutive time to be at ICE which gives a good feel for the direction of gaming and the plans of our customers. We will showcase our latest product range and present our latest co-branding agreement with Playboy, which we believe has the appeal and recognition among operators and players. In 2020 we will not sit on our past success but make sure we retain the position of leading and biggest company in the ETG segment. Key focus will be given to the successful rollout of our new SW platform and the Universal cabinet’s family of products. Based on the start of the year we are on track for yet another record year.
