Bigjigs Toys will be showcasing a range of must-have products at Toymaster this year, including its outdoor and gardening range, perfect for encouraging kids to exercise, get away from screens, explore nature and socialise with friends.
The range includes a Bug Net, Multi-View Bug Viewer, Short Handled Shovel, Short Handled Spade, a Flower Press, Telescopic Net and Explorer Set. Made from responsibly sourced materials, the range is ideal for safely catching bugs and inspecting them up close as well as getting stuck into gardening with the grown-ups. Bigjigs Toys’ new rail range is inspired by its seaside hometown of
Folkestone, Kent. Included are an eco-friendly Coastal Clean-Up train set, a Lighthouse 4-Way Tunnel, a Crane Dock, Dinghy & Diver, and a Shark Attack Turntable, all of which are bound to inspire hours of imaginative playtime. Coastal Clean-Up encourages kids to take their train on a coastal adventure: chug through the sandcastle tunnel, zoom past beach huts, and trundle past people sunbathing on the beach. On the sand are various magnetic pieces of “rubbish” that need to be recycled into the correct cardboard, metal and plastic sorting bins. Bigjigs Toys is on a mission to produce sustainable, eco-friendly toys wherever possible. Its FSC Certified range of wooden toys uses sustainably harvested FSC wood. FSC stands for the Forest Stewardship Council, a global non-profit organisation dedicated to championing responsible, ethical forestry. Bigjigs Toys is proud to be certified with FSC C147826. Its new FSC range features the Rocking Rabbit, Sensory Blocks, Forest Stacker, Woodland Shape Puzzle, Hide & Seek Puzzle and Rolling Activity Sorter. Each sustainable wooden toy has a soft colour palette suitable for both boys and girls. Bigjigs Toys is now the UK, Ireland and EU distributor of American toy brand Schylling. For over 40 years, Schylling has specialised in creating timeless toys, inspired by the inventions that shaped our childhoods. In 2017, Schylling created NeeDoh The Groovy Glob, which has rapidly grown to a recognised brand and risen to fame on social media, with over 150 million views on TikTok. NeeDoh is made from a non-toxic, dough-like material that can be squished and squashed before returning to its original shape, making it ideal as a stress reliever.

It’s been a big year for One for Fun (previously H. Grossman Ltd) and its main brands, Tobar, Ozbozz and HGL, as well as its distribution brands, including Maisto, Bburago and Zuru.
With Pushpoppers leading the way, 2022 sees the launch of more pocket- money lines that capitalise on the fidget trend. One for Fun’s Bumper Fidget Box won Craze of the Year at London Toy Fair, and the company’s track record of picking bestsellers continues. Take a look at the Squishy Cute Animal Tub – adorable and unputdownable squishy friends. Also set to take a huge bite out of the market are Dinosaur head tubs (large or small) which open to reveal a collection of mini dinosaurs; the heads are available in T-Rex or Triceratops form. Stretchy, squishy, shiny, sparkly and scary are the themes for 2022’s
pocket money lines, with a special mention for the Fidget Slug. Already flying off the shelves, these cute posable creatures are made up of interlocking cups and are available in rainbow and glow in the dark varieties and a range of fashionable neon colours. Tobar’s offering include SCRUNCHEMS, top-selling fidget balls that include glow-in-the-dark, textured and sensory versions. Don’t forget Jumblys, shapes that twist to create new forms; they come in neon, colour change, glitter and rainbow versions, in eye-catching packaging. Venturing into the great outdoors wouldn’t be the same without the
Ozbozz range of scooters and outdoor toys. 2022 sees the introduction of some great new outdoor lines, including bigger wheeled scooters, pogo sticks and new generic skateboard designs. Canine cutie Poppy the Booty Shakin’ Pug, from Zuru’s Pets Alive range, will be the star of the show at Harrogate – try not to smile as she twirls her head and shakes her booty. Also from Zuru is Bubble Wow, a great way of creating bubbles with gloves. Just dip them in the bubble solution and wave! 2022 sees the introduction of a Paw Patrol version. Robo Alive’s offerings include Dino Fossil Find; locate the bones and fit them together, then watch them come to life with light and sound. The brand has also added new colours to its Lurking Lizard and Robo Fish ranges, and is introducing Crawling Cockroach and Spider. Brand-new BB Junior Range combines style and great engineering to
create a unique concept in the nursery space. Key lines for this year are the Junior Drive & Rock collection, combining chunky robust colourful vehicles with a removable musical component.
Moving up the age range, Bburago is extending its farm vehicle range with additions to the Massey Ferguson range, with the hero product being a Massey R/C tractor and trailer, due to release in Q3 2022. As well as showcasing its bestselling die-cast Emergency Vehicle Set, Maisto is adding to its existing R/C CYKLONE range with the Cyklone Buggy and Cyklone Monster. Both vehicles have a forward and back movement and can drift at the same time. Last – unusually – is Lewis Hamilton. Maisto is introducing an R/C version of his latest Formula One vehicle in its 2021 colours.
