once again celebrates young talent in the toy industry, with our annual 30 Under 30 listing of the brightest rising stars – as voted for by you


T


he pandemic was tough on everybody, but career- wise, it was particularly hard on young people just starting out in the world of work. The myriad advantages of working in a busy offi ce environment, such as the chance to learn by observation or to shadow senior staff , were all taken away when work from home became the norm, and twentysomethings have had to be adaptable and discover new ways to thrive and grow. The young people on the following pages have all impressed their colleagues with their ability to do just that. Some are marketers, some are salespeople, others work in licensing, logistics, design or research and development, but all have displayed incredible resilience and a


willingness to push themselves out of their comfort zones during diffi cult times. As has been said before, a company that looks after its young talent safeguards its future. We will all have to adapt as global factors such as political destabilisation, spiralling costs and supply issues leave their mark on the industry, and it’s the young – with their fl exible mindsets (and technical know-how) – who will lead the way. Thank you to all the companies listed for giving these rising stars a start in business, and fi nding ways to help them to fl ourish; your praise for the nominees was truly heartening to read. Creative young talent and companies dedicated to helping them go places – the future of the toy industry is very bright indeed.
