Sustainability Initiative of the Year
Winner: Utelize Mobile Highly Commended: TD Synnex
Utelize, in collaboration with Computer Aid and Dell Technologies has created an initiative that tackles poverty, promotes sustainability, and addresses the growing problem of e-waste head-on. With its Solar Community Hubs project and commitment to combatting electronic waste, Utelize is leading the way towards a better future for our planet. Alongside ongoing tree planting efforts, with a count of 26,000 trees planted, Utelize is determined to make a tangible difference. “Winning this award not only makes for a beautiful addition to our trophy shelf, but it also serves a more profound purpose,” said Richard Slade, head of partnerships. “It lends credibility to our fundraising project, offering a compelling case for other companies to consider supporting it. “Whilst the evening was fantastic, beyond the glitz and glamour of the award itself, it’s the prospect of catalysing genuine transformation for so many in South Africa that truly warms our hearts. It’s about fostering a brighter future, one where access to technology and education isn’t a luxury but a fundamental right. “Thank you for this recognition PCR team, as it amplifies our mission and brings us closer to making that vision a reality.”

Person of the Year Winner: Shelley Raja
Shailendra Shelley Raja, founder and chairman of Scan Group, secured the Person of the Year award for his leadership and dedication since the founding of Scan in 1987. Headquartered in Bolton, Scan Group has thrived for 36 years under his stewardship, maintaining relevance through outstanding customer service and as an exceptional local employer. His knowledge, industry-wide respect, and ability to drive Scan forward have been instrumental in establishing the company as a leader in the field.
