Campagnolo has introduced its first spider-based power meter with the launch of the High Precision Power Measurement (HPPM) Power Meter. The all-new HPPM Power Meter features 16 sensors (strain gauges) and one gyroscope, designed to give riders precise and reliable power measurement. Equipped with an Ultra-Torque titanium axle and unidirectional carbon cranks, available in 170, 172.5 and 175 millimetres, HPPM-equipped cranksets are available with three chainring options: 45-29, 48-32, and 50-34. The
launch announcement states a 172.5mm crankset, including bearings and screws, fitted with 45-29 chainrings, weighs in at 656g. The battery is also listed as “serviceable” which is encouraging for long-term usability and ownership. RRP: £1,989.99
