BY ROYAL APPOINTMENT

Last month, Frog Bikes received the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise, presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire. Daniel Blackham attends the presentation at brand’s Ascot HQ

To make this journey that you’ve

made takes persistence, resilience and ingenuity,” remarked HM Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire, Andrew Try, as he presented Jerry Lawson, co-founder of Frog Bikes, with the King’s Award for Enterprise.

The newly renamed King’s Award, previously known as the highly regarded Queen’s Award, celebrates outstanding achievements by UK businesses in one of four key areas, including International Trade. The award required Frog Bikes to demonstrate strong overseas sales growth over a three-year period and showcase

the effectiveness of its export strategy. To be shortlisted, Frog had to submit a several thousand word application form along with a plethora of financial data. Once shortlisted, there was an auditing process to corroborate the details in the application. One example of Frog’s commitment to

international markets was the development of the City bikes range, which were designed following feedback from European city stores that wanted an urban commuter bike which was light and

well-designed.

The range was launched in mainland Europe in 2022, and is now available worldwide.
