STAR WARS: BOUNTY HUNTER Originally released in 2002 for the PS2 and Gamecube, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is being given the remaster treatment (updated visuals and controls) and will be releasing for all formats in the same month as the thoroughly modern Star Wars Outlaws. A coincidence? Given that it only qualifies as a classic due to its age, having a name that suggests it might be the TIE Fighter to Outlaw’s X-Wing, it’s hard not to conclude that there’s some coattail-riding going on.

QUAKECON 2024 QuakeCon 2021 saw the surprise release of an enhanced version of the first Quake and last year the sequel got the same treatment. Given that Quake 3 Arena is 25 years old this year, many are wondering


whether the enhanced trilogy will be completed this year or next. Quake 4 will be 20 years old in 2025, so it would make sense to keep up the pace, right?


QuakeCon has become something of a prelude to Bethesda updating players on its games, so we can expect to hear more on the next DOOM, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and, who knows, perhaps the first showing of Elder Scrolls VI? (Yes, we could pick up the phone and ask, but where’s the fun in being told it ain’t happening.)

BLACK MYTH: WUKONG With Manor Lords available in Early Access, Black Myth: Wukong has supplanted it as the most wishlisted game on Steam. It is an action RPG based on Journey to the West, with players taking on the role of the Destined One and is being keenly compared to the games of FromSoftware. Coming so close on the heels of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree certainly won’t do it any harm. As to whether the UE5-powered soulslike can live up to expectations of the PC Master Race, we’ll find out soon enough.
