WOMEN IN GAMES AWARDS 2024 If you’re reading this on the beach in Brighton, you just about have enough time to get your nominations in for this year’s MCV/DEVELOP Women In Games Awards. EGX 2024 We weren’t there, but the word on the street was that last year’s EGX was a little underwhelming. This year we can at least expect things to be different, as MCM Comic Con is being rolled into the same event. It means we might well see more people than usual dressed as characters from movies, games and TV, and possibly one or two people that played them talking about their experiences and signing autographs.

TIGA GAMES INDUSTRY AWARDS 2024 Nominations are open for the TIGA Games Industry Awards, which will be taking place, as is traditional, at the time of year when we can start to breathe a sigh of relief that it’s nearly over and hope that the next one might be a little better. The year, that is, not the TIGA Awards.
There are three new award categories this year: ‘Best Use of a Licence’, ‘Narrative/Story-Telling’, and ‘Co-Development Partner’, bringing the total to 36. Should be a busy evening for all involved. Good luck!
