[When it came to] secure the necessary funding
and resources to support development, we explored various funding options, including self-funding, grants, and potential investors. Building a solid business plan and pitch was crucial for convincing stakeholders of the game’s potential.
Meeting these milestones involved a combination
and iterative development. Regular meetings, clear address challenges and keep the project on track. By focusing on these foundational milestones, we were able to establish a strong base for the continued development of Ghosts of Tabor.
WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE PRIOR TO THE INITIAL EARLY ACCESS RELEASE?
The biggest challenge prior to the initial Early Access release was the ambitious time frame we set for ourselves, which was only eleven months. This tight resource management, and a highly coordinated gameplay with the need to meet our deadline pushed us to streamline our development processes and challenges, the team’s dedication and hard work enabled us to achieve our goal and deliver Ghosts of Tabor to our eager audience. …and the biggest challenge since?
The biggest challenge since the initial Early Access
release has been managing and incorporating player feedback while continuing to develop new content and improvements. Balancing the ongoing development of new features with the need to address bugs, optimise performance, and respond to community suggestions requires careful prioritisation and resource allocation. Ensuring that we maintain a high level of player engagement and satisfaction, while also pushing the an ongoing and complex task.
AT WHAT MOMENT DURING DEVELOPMENT DID YOU GO FROM “THIS GAME COULD WORK” TO “THIS GAME WILL WORK”? We knew the game would work after about 4 months a dev team, and we all left grinning from ear to ear. That moment of shared excitement and satisfaction Ghosts of Tabor had the potential to deliver the immersive and thrilling experience we envisioned.
