Shopfloor TAKE A TOWN

Leeds 36

Our mystery shopping team has been out and about in Leeds to check up on the sales skills of electrical retailers across the city.

Currys PC World, King Charles Street

THIS store has a massive shopfront that promotes the retailer’s three brands, Currys, PC World and Carphone Warehouse. I was looking to buy a new TV for our living

room. Inside the store, I was met by a store greeter as I headed to the TV department. After a minute or so of browsing, I was approached by Mikey. He got straight down to work, asking if I had a particular size of TV in mind. I said that I wanted a bigger set than the 32-inch TV I currently had. Mikey showed me a Samsung 55-inch set

(UE55NU7021KXXU), which was priced at £499. He said that this was an entry model set, but he highlighted the 4K resolution, the 360-degree design, which looks great from any angle, and the entertainment options available through the Smart TV feature. Mikey then mentioned Samsung’s QLED range

and showed me a 55-inch set (QE55Q6FNATXXU), which was priced at £899. He showed me a demonstration of the QLED technology and said that this was the best TV in the store, in that size.

10/10 Summary:

Mikey was on great form and his demonstration of the QLED technology was effortless, but spot-on. The store looked very well presented.
