sense of camaraderie that made the event a highlight of the year for us, says Potters Home Digital Director, Lance Hopley. The retailer walked away with the prestigious Best Independent Electrical Retailer – Custom Install award. The Potters team was overjoyed to be recognised for their dedication
to providing immersive, customised experiences for their clients… “We’re absolutely thrilled and honoured to win this award,” adds Mr Hopley. “It’s incredibly rewarding to have our hard work, passion and commitment to innovation recognised by the industry.” The win, Mr Hopley believes, is a direct reflection of the company’s
approach to integrating cutting-edge technology into people’s homes in a way that enhances their lifestyle: “Our focus is not just on installation, but on creating bespoke solutions that blend seamlessly into our clients’ homes,” he explains. “From our century-long legacy in home entertainment to our recent showroom transformation into an interactive experience centre, every project is an opportunity to show what’s possible.” This award is also testament to the Potters team’s ongoing commitment to excellence, who continue to push the boundaries of AV technology. “We’re so grateful to be recognised in this way,” Mr Hopley adds. “It’s a true honour, and we thank our clients for trusting us to bring their visions to life. “This recognition from the ERT Awards is not just a celebration of the team’s efforts, but also a motivation to continue leading the way in custom AV installations.” L-R: Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE Europe, Lance Hopley from Potters, and Shaun Williamson

Best Industry Sales Representative Winner Scott Thomson, Electrolux Group
Scott Thomson has been with Electrolux for over 12 years as a Regional Sales Manager for Scotland and the North of England; he has a fantastic relationship with his retailers and has forged long- standing trust and support in his largest independent accounts. “In our industry, relationships are everything, and this is the most important part of supporting my retailers,” he tells ERT. “I take great pride in offering the level of service and support I’d want to receive myself if I was a customer, and I always look at any situation from the perspective of the retailer or the end consumer. “Every day is different in this industry, and that’s what I love about my job. It keeps me driven to deliver next level customer care. Of course, there can be constraints; recently I’ve noticed a dramatic rise in emails, but nothing beats a face-to-face meeting! My favourite part of the day is always meeting up with retailers and their teams during in-person store visits.” Mr Thomson says he feels “incredibly proud and honoured” to win this Sales Representative awards… “In my opinion, it’s the highest accolade someone in my role can achieve, especially as it’s voted for by our customers. “This was my first time attending the ERT Awards, and it certainly
didn’t disappoint! It was great to see so many familiar faces within the industry and to network with those I hadn’t met before. “The ERT Awards is a focal point for our entire industry – covering retail, manufacturing and distribution. It’s an event that brings the entire industry together for a day to celebrate successes, and nothing feels better than walking up on stage to collect the ERT trophy in front of representatives from every part of our industry!”
