cinema demo room, an upgraded demo kitchen, and investment in renewable energy sources to help power its hundreds of products. On top of this, the store also features a multi-media room, complete with motorised projector screen and 5.1 sound system, and a smart home apartment including networking and Wi-Fi infrastructure and multi- room audio, plus a huge range of TV, audio and accessory products. Dacombes has a huge front shop window that it constantly utilises to
create engaging and eye-catching displays. To celebrate its Centenary it designed a nostalgic display featuring classic radios and television sets from over the decades; and at Christmas the retailer goes above and beyond with its decorations! The ERT Awards judges were impressed with the changes that Dacombes has been making. The retailer boasts hundreds of five-star reviews on TrustPilot and the company immerses itself in local events in order to connect with its customer base. Dacombes sponsors the annual Wimborne Folk Festival and earlier this year it even set up and hosted its own food festival in the town! “It is really amazing to be recognised for all the hard work we’ve put in over the years to create the business that we have today,” comments Managing Director, Matt Renaut. “It is testament to all our hard-working staff and the effort they all put in day in, day out. “Winning this coveted Turning Point Award truly brings attention to how good, not just we are, but every forward-thinking retailer that enters the ERT Awards. “This year’s event was brilliant as always; not just because we won two awards, but it’s just great fun and brings everyone in this wonderful industry together!”
