You’ve been a media partner for a number of years Ben, but in 2020 you decided to sponsor the VIP drinks reception, this year you sponsored the Lifetime Achievement Award and we’ve just signed you up to support the awards again in 2023. Why? Since we launched All Things Business Milton Keynes in 2019, we’ve been keen to connect with companies, to share their news and deliver an inter- esting and informative magazine, that showcases the wide spectrum of businesses that exist in MK. For anyone that has ever attended MKBAA, you’ll know that it is the one place that guaran- tees you’ll meet Milton Keynes businesses and individuals who are at the top of their game. T e article on the following pages is evidence of that. Sponsoring the awards is not only a great way for us to get our name in front of those people, but also an opportunity for us to support the future growth and maximise opportunities for the incredible talent we have here in Milton Keynes.
How do you feel the awards benefit local businesses? Aside from the fantastic networking opportunity, the awards give businesses a chance to review, refl ect and celebrate their own achievements and the successes of their peers. It strengthens working relationships and sparks a sense of team spirit. Not to mention the num- ber of exciting PR and social media opportunities that result from being shortlisted and/or winning.

What’s your favourite part of the glittering awards ceremony each year? T e buzz! I think that’s the best way to describe it. Whether we’re 600-plus in the ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton, with a waiting list of those who desperately wanted a seat, but weren’t quick enough to book; or a roomy 700 at the Arena MK, as we were in 2020, just ahead of lockdown, the atmosphere is always electric. T ere’s just an undeniable sense of community and everyone is excited to let their hair down and really celebrate with their friends and colleagues. We’re already counting down to MKBAA 2023!
