Starting from the centre of the design, cross pin the wire over the outline of the shape.

When finishing the shape, make sure that you have an overlap of wire of 5 cm. Use a pin or bulldog clip to hold, then sew the overlap together.


Sewing the frame together Make sure your joining of the wire cannot be seen. Hide the overlap ends under the main frame structure


in a place that is not noticeable from the front. After fixing the ends, join together the wire with a slip stitch overlapping by 5 cm.

Creating the filler wire for the frame Measure 150 mm of wire in 0.8 mm and thread it through the 2.5 mm crinoline tube. Finish as you did in Steps 8/9/10/11.

Select a few tubes and sticks (even barbeque skewers will work for this). Make sure that they are different in diameter.

Starting 1 cm away from the end and with the smaller- sized stick, wrap the wire around to make a loop.

Leave a 1 cm space of wire from the first loop to the next loop.

Wrap more loops, increasing the size of the loop and the space between each loop as you go. You can vary the loops’ directions and the way the loops lay. This helps for attaching on the frame.

Keep wrapping the wire around various sticks and tubes, until you reach where the curve joins to the spiral. From here, start to decrease the size of circles as you go around the spiral.
