Hat Days

it is the space of cardboard artist Félix Lozal, who rents the location and its vintage and brocante furniture and props for filming and photoshoots. It has a wonderful atmosphere and turned out to be the perfect location to host the suppliers. The workshops took place at the Design Museum and at Barcelona’s oldest hat shop, Sombrerería Mil. A few years ago, owner Núria Arnau added an extension to the 1856 hat shop. As she offers workshops herself here as well, all the equipment needed was at hand.” A few of the biggest successes

of the programme were the tours in the Museu del Disseny and the ‘Let’s mingle!’ dinner in the

exclusive Philippines Club, where milliners and hat lovers from all over the world could catch up or meet each other in person for the first time. The overall feedback from

the participating milliners about the first edition of the Barcelona Hat Days was very positive. Organisers Cristina and Nina feel that they were very lucky to have met people who believed in their project and who supported it. They are going to take the feedback and the experiences they have gained from this first edition to consider whether the Barcelona Hat Days event has enough potential to produce a second edition, and if so, what it should look like. Whatever the outcome will be, there is no doubt about whether or not the Passejada amb Barret will take place in 2024, as next year the 20th edition of the event will be celebrated!
