The connection that binds Palmer grads coast to coast
Palmer College of Chiropractic alumni make up a global network, and the College’s alumni team is committed to keeping that network strong and fully informed. With more events, deeper partnerships, and new resources, the alumni team is finding fresh ways to keep graduates connected, no matter where life takes them. “Anywhere our alumni are gathered, we’re going
to be there,” says Karie Gilson, director of alumni and annual giving. “That means bigger alumni experiences at events like the Florida Chiropractic Association convention, more support for local gatherings, and new engagement tools like Palmer Plexus.” This year, Palmer West held a final graduation
ceremony. In addition to celebrating the graduating students, the class of 1992 held a reunion on campus. The event brought old friends back together to reminisce and learn about the future of Palmer, and attendees joined the commencement celebration to honor the legacy of the West campus. “It was a special time,” says Gilson. “The weekend offered a powerful reminder of the connection that
binds Palmer graduates from coast to coast.” Alumni are gathering virtually as well. Palmer
Plexus, a growing online platform just for Palmer graduates, will soon feature an “alumni bookshelf,” facilitate mentorship opportunities, and provide exclusive updates and opportunities for the College community. On campus, the Alumni Office is partnering with the Student Services Office and the Center for Business Development to host events that blend students, College supporters, and alumni — like a recent concert featuring Donny Van Slee, D.C. (`21), a chiropractor and musician who was a contestant on "The Voice." With more events in more places and the
support of a new online platform, Gilson says the spirit of community will only continue to flourish. And there is a full calendar of alumni events to experience this fall. “Whether you graduated last year or decades ago,” says Gilson, “we want to see you, wherever you are.”
