One question, three answers
Who’s your Palmer legend?
Samuel Schut, D.C. (`23)
As a pioneer in integrative chiropractic cooperation and a voice for the urgency and necessity of research in our field, Scott Haldeman, D.C. (`64), has inspired me to leave the profession a little bit better than I found it. His efforts to bridge the gap between the medical and chiropractic professions have paved the way for so many opportunities.
Aaron Hinde, D.C. (`03)
I actually have two! My first Palmer legend is my dad, Robert Hinde, D.C. (`81). He was part of the inaugural graduating class from Palmer West in 1981. He truly lived and breathed chiropractic — an exceptionally skilled adjuster and healer. My second legend is Clarence Gonstead,
D.C (1923). Though I never met him personally, his legacy as a pioneer in chiropractic biomechanics continues to inspire.
Nicole Ingrando, D.C. (`09)
David Seaman, D.C. He was a true champion for patient outcomes, strict with details — especially in neuroanatomy — and never one to sugarcoat hard truths. But that’s what made him a legend. He didn’t just teach; he pushed us to think critically and question what we were taught.
