National recognition for a chiropractic research leader

Your Palmer network just got stronger

What started as a bold idea is now a thriving hub. One year after its launch, Palmer Plexus continues to grow as a super-network where current students enter the platform looking to connect with alumni for mentorship, job opportunities, and speaking engagements with their student organizations. Whether you’re reconnecting with classmates, posting a job, or staying

informed about College news and upcoming events, Plexus strengthens the connection between Palmer alumni, students, and the profession. Claim your profile today at palmerplexus.palmer.edu. Click

Cynthia R. Long, M.S., Ph.D., PStat®, professor and dean of research at Palmer College of Chiropractic, has been elected a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), a distinction conferred on fewer than one third of one percent of its members annually. This honor recognizes her exceptional contributions to biostatistics and her tireless commitment to enhancing chiropractic research. “I am honored to be elected as a Fellow of the ASA,” says

Dr. Long. “I’m grateful for the support of my family, mentors, colleagues, students, and friends for their inspiration and encouragement throughout my career. I look forward to continuing to advance the use of appropriate statistical designs, research methods, and project implementation in the chiropractic research community.”

Students show their pride on record-breaking Giving Day

This spring, students across Palmer College of Chiropractic joined forces with the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation (PSAF) to rally support for Palmer College Giving Day 2025, raising funds and awareness for the Palmer Emergency Student Relief Fund. “It’s inspiring to feel part of the larger Palmer community and know we’re

supported by alumni who believe in us,” says Florida PSAF President Carrie Wilkey. “It makes me proud to be part of something with such a lasting legacy.” Every dollar donated by a student was matched three-to-one by generous

staff donors. “Seeing that support from all sides reminded me just how strong the Palmer community really is,” says Calvin Grenda, PSAF president in Davenport. Thanks to the passion of these dedicated students, Palmer Giving Day 2025 raised over $151,000 — a record for the College.
