Where legends learn Palmer’s growing Continuing Education program

With dynamic speakers, streamlined and plentiful course offerings, and a renewed focus on service and connection, Continuing Education at Palmer College of Chiropractic is evolving to meet the needs of today’s chiropractors. And alumni are the driving force behind that growth. “What’s so exciting now is that many of our speakers are Palmer graduates, and many are current or former faculty members who are passionate about sharing what they know,” says Mary Frost, D.C., M.B.A. (`96), senior director of continuing education. “The common thread is that all speakers and attendees are there to learn from each other and get better for their patients. They’re teaching, reconnecting, and helping shape the future of the program.” Homecoming this fall in Davenport is a

standout example of the program’s new energy. With a strong lineup of live sessions, keynote speakers, and an innovative team collaborating behind the scenes, Homecoming CE offerings have become a can’t-miss attraction. “We’ve reimagined the schedule so there’s time to enjoy

everything Homecoming has to offer,” says Dr. Frost. “And it’s working! We’re seeing incredible energy and a great turnout at every session.” The CE program is expanding year-round to

a growing variety of course formats, including live, interactive webinars that fit into a lunch hour. New features include free focused classes, such as a two-hour session titled Muscle Matters with Dan Weinert, D.C., Ph.D. (`96), and more flexible online formats through Palmer Continuing Education Online. “The classes are fresh, user-friendly, and thoughtfully produced,” says Dr. Frost. “We’ve made a real effort to improve the experience, so it feels more engaging than a typical Zoom session.” Looking ahead, the CE team is focused on

continued innovation, including improvements to user experience and an ever-evolving lineup of courses. “We’re always paying attention to national trends — and we’re just as open to niche topics that meet specific needs,” Dr. Frost shares. “Our goal is to make continuing education feel fresh, relevant, and worth coming back for year after year.”
