Palmer proud — for life FlorAnne Cruz, D.C. (`17) on why she supports Palmer College
When I chose Palmer College of Chiropractic, I did my research. I saw the board scores, the reputation, and the opportunity to be part of a chiropractic legacy unlike any other. The College’s campus in Florida was newer at the time, but to me, that just meant I could be part of shaping it. I was class president, president of Women in Chiropractic, on the Sports Council — you name it, I was there. Those years as a student were some of the
best of my life. However, I didn’t realize it was only the beginning of my Palmer experience. Palmer is where I found my purpose. Today, I run one of the largest multidisciplinary practices in my area of Georgia with 23 employees and a second location opening soon. I’m the team chiropractor for Georgia Southern University athletes and Tormenta FC Soccer. No matter how far I go, Palmer stays with
me. I’ve got a Palmer plate on my car, a sticker on my phone, a pitch prepared for interested students, and a heart full of gratitude for the school that made all this possible. Since graduation, my relationship with Palmer
has only gotten stronger. I get excited when I see my old professors at conferences, and I was honored to speak at a recent homecoming event. Being back on the Florida campus and seeing its growth and improvement fills me with
pride. William Sherrier, D.C., M.A. — who, by the way, was one of my first quarter instructors and is now president! — has led the evolution of our campus in ways that make me incredibly excited for the future. That’s why I joined the Founder’s Circle, the
recognition society for leadership donors. Originally, I gave specifically in support of scholarships. But the more I learned about the needs and opportunities ahead of Palmer, the more I trusted our leadership to direct my contributions where they were needed. Now, my giving is unrestricted because I believe in the vision of the College. Supporting Palmer College is about investing
in what’s next. I want to see more buildings, more opportunities, and more students choosing Palmer. I dream of a boundless campus that takes chiropractic education to heights we haven’t even imagined yet. I’m Palmer proud, through and through. I want
future students to have the same life-changing experience I had… and even better. That’s why I give. That’s why I stay involved. That’s why I welcome Palmer students for associate positions and shadowing opportunities. Because when you believe in something this deeply, you don’t just walk away. You build, you support, and you carry it with you. Always.
“I want future students to have the same life-changing experience I had… and even better. That’s why I give. That’s why I stay involved.”
