Entrepreneurship Award
Charles “Chuck” Gibson, D.C. (`55)
Dr. Gibson is a chiropractic legend in his own right. He is a respected mentor and champion of the chiropractic profession, having dedicated over six decades to advancing the field. From seminar stages around the world to one-on-one guidance through his consultancy, Gibson Management Consultants, he has shaped the careers of thousands with his wisdom and dedication. Colleagues, mentees, and friends of Dr. Gibson speak not only of his deep expertise but also of the genuine care and inspiration he brings to every encounter, leaving a lasting legacy within the chiropractic community. His connection to Palmer runs deep — a source of pride and purpose
throughout his career. “I wanted not only to be successful, but I always wanted to make sure that our profession moved forward,” he shares. “I am so grateful to Palmer College for all it has done for me, and I’m grateful to the people who wrote in and said that I should earn this award.” It’s this enduring commitment to both his craft and community that continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
Four new (jolly-good) Fellows
The Palmer Academy of Chiropractic Fellowship recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Palmer College across four pillars of distinction: leadership, recruitment, philanthropy, and service. Meet the four new members being inducted this fall.
Rex Jones, D.C. (`74)
Dr. Jones’s chiropractic experience began as a young boy whose migraine headaches disappeared after a single adjustment. That boy grew into a chiropractor who has lived and breathed the profession for over 51 years, caring for his Iowa community through Chiropractic Arts Clinic, P.C., where he practices alongside his wife, Palmer alumna and Fellow Elizabeth Kressin, D.C. (`86). Now in the “twilight of his career,” Dr. Jones
remains deeply committed to the next generation of Palmer graduates. A proud Founder’s Circle donor, he continually encourages others to give back to the College and invests his time and resources into supporting young chiropractors during their critical early years in practice. It’s not unusual to see him take a young chiropractor to lunch, learn their story, and offer guidance as they grow into leaders and future stewards of Palmer’s legacy.
