NEW OPENINGS
Bonhomme Hospitality opened Coquette, a modern French bistro, in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. Designed by Maison Bonhomme in collaboration with Luca Lanzetta Group, Coquette pays tribute to the style of Mondrian, YSL, Godard and Bauhaus. Food reflects contemporary French cuisine and cooking over a live fire.
Founder Steven Salm and Executive Chef David Lee expand their plant-based restaurant collective with the opening of Planta Queen in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Known for its energetic vibe, high-gloss design and innovative plant-based dishes, this latest location offers an intimate dining area, a buzzy main room, stylish bar and outdoor dining, open for brunch, lunch and dinner.
Clique Hospitality announced plans to open Proper Eats, an elevated food hall serving eclectic cocktails and global cuisine spanning 24,000 sq ft on the second level promenade of Las Vegas’ ARIA Resort & Casino. Italian Canadian designer Alessandro Munge and his firm, Studio Munge, have designed Proper Eats, blending modern simplicity with tailored sophistication for an energetic, stylish atmosphere, with an eye-appealing bar as the centerpiece.

Located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, owners of the Leffew Restaurant Group have joined with Charleston-based David Thompson Architects and Tom Lennon Construction for the sizeable renovation of a former Carrabba’s Italian Grill to become Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen. The 250-seat restaurant sports a modern and relaxed, beachy vibe and features indoor and outdoor dining areas, an exciting bar, space for live music, a dedicated to-go pick up window and bicycle parking connected to the town’s bike paths.
