Guggenheim, Abu Dhabi, UAE Architect: Frank Gehry Construction company: Six Construct Opening year: 2025 The Department of Culture and Tourism for Abu Dhabi announced that the Guggenheim is on track for completion in 2025, 14 years after construction first began. The completed museum will be the largest of the Guggenheim outposts at 42,000 sq m and will be located on Saadiyat Island – a cultural district under development off the coast of the UAE capital. Architect Frank Gehry designed the building’s structural concept, which will house artists from the UAE and the wider Gulf. The museum will also feature a 350-seat theater, education workshops and classrooms, a conservation lab, as well as a retail store, cafes, and a restaurant.

Construction company: N/a Opening year: 2025 Marriott International will open the Lake Como Edition in 2025 with 145 luxurious guest rooms, a floating pool, and multiple restaurants and bars. A short drive from Milan, the property is a former 19th century inn, located on the western shore of the stunning Lake Como, and was most recently the Britannia Excelsior Hotel. “We are excited to work with Bain Capital Credit and Omnam Group to introduce the Edition Hotels brand to one of Italy’s most beautiful destinations,” said Josh Fluhr, senior vice president & global managing director, Edition Hotels, Marriott International. The hotel will be among the largest in the high-end Lake Como area when it opens.
