MELVIN PHARMACY GARRISON
Melvin Pharmacy in Fermanagh has played a central role in promoting health and wellbeing in their local, rural community and are worthy recipients of this year’s ‘Community Pharmacy of the Year’ award.
The owner of the pharmacy, Siobhan McNulty, is passionate about the health and wellbeing of her patients, which has resulted in numerous awards in the past, including the 2019 Unsung Hero in Diabetes award from Diabetes UK.
During the pandemic, the pharmacy outgrew its premises and relocated to larger premises to provide more services for the community. With this move, Siobhan and her team decided

to focus on the health of their community as a strategic objective for the pharmacy, resulting in an increased number of health initiatives.
Siobhan’s active participation in the local community means that the influence of the pharmacy on health and wellbeing extends far beyond the boundaries of its new premises.
Siobhan is the Health and Wellbeing Officer with the Devenish Football
Club, promoting dietary, physical, and mental health initiatives. She also delivers talks to schools, community groups, and football clubs. Siobhan recently gave talks to two local women's groups about menopause, bone health, and osteoporosis, and a talk to 600 secondary school students about the importance of Vitamin D.
