Simpsons Pharmacy explained that their motivation behind introducing these innovative practices was to improve access to medication outside of the pharmacy's opening hours and reduce the number of telephone enquiries about prescription readiness, freeing up staff to be able to serve customers more effectively.

Adopting the Scriptlife system has not been without its challenges, however. The pharmacy had to switch from a mostly alphabetical system to a system whereby medication is stored making the best use of the available space.
The staff had to get to grips with using the software and the new way of working.
To address this challenge, Simpson’s Pharmacy took the time to educate both staff and patients on how to opt- in and use the new service. The staff received comprehensive training on the new software and processes, ensuring that they were fully prepared to answer any questions from patients.
