Without Andrew I don’t know how we would have coped during COVID. I am so thankful for him
problems that could be prevented. The goal of the Men’s Health Campaign is to achieve the best possible physical and mental health and wellbeing for all men and boys.
Andy was previously involved with Breakthru, a national not-for-profit organization committed to empowering people to create their own futures.
In the autumn of 2018, he trained as a Trainer in 'Engage,' an all-Ireland Men's Health project. Andy was involved in training people from the Public Sector and Community/ Voluntary Sectors.
With this experience, Andy spearheaded the Men’s Health project in the pharmacy.
He included the entire staff, informing all involved about the history and importance of men’s health week and motivating everyone to be aware of Men's Health issues.
His collaborative approach inspired all members of the team as to what could be achieved for the men’s health project.

Andy took the lead to contact organisations that could help - including The Men's Health Forum in Ireland and Rural Support who supplied leaflets and other resources.
Andy used his previous training to help the Pharmacy engage more purposefully with patients in relation to men’s health.
Andy promoted the Men's Health event across the Fivemiletown area, visiting 29 businesses and leaving literature and posters for display.
The team also created a men's hamper, filled with men’s health and grooming products to increase buy-in and awareness of the campaign.
Outside of the Men’s Health Campaign, Andy has been a crucial lifeline for many of the patients in the Fivemiletown area.

Andy’s contribution to the pharmacy team and his exceptional leadership skills during the Men's Health promotion campaign show that he is truly deserving of the Team Member of the Year Award.
His personable, collaborative approach, optimism, ability to lead and inspire others have had a significant positive impact on the team, the pharmacy, and the community it serves.
