At every workplace, there are some employees who stand out from the crowd for their exceptional work, positivity and dedication.
The same goes in our network of pharmacies here in Northern Ireland. While there were many deserving nominees, one individual truly shone above the rest and has been awarded the prestigious title of 'Team member of the year'.
This year’s Pharmacy in Focus Team Member of the Year Award has been awarded to Andy Barrett. Andy works as a delivery driver at McKeevers Chemist and goes far beyond his job role to contribute to the success of

the pharmacy and the wellbeing of patients in the community.
Andy's exceptional work ethic and positive attitude are contagious and have a significant impact on the entire team. His willingness to take on additional responsibilities and to help his colleagues whenever they need him is an inspiration to everyone in the pharmacy.
Andy’s interest in the pharmacy’s previous outreach programmes and
concern that many health promotions had ceased or downscaled post- COVID, motivated him to do more than just deliver packages of medication this year. He has used his skills to lead a ‘Men’s Health Promotion Campaign’, clearly demonstrating his passion, creativity, innovation, and ability to lead and inspire others.
