130 PRIVATE HIRE AND TAXI MONTHLY EORFO BY BERNIE THE NEWS UPDATE
With just seven games left in the football league season at the time of writing (a mere three after Saturday and Sunday’s games on 2nd and 3rd May), the race for our Premiership is a two horse one betweenWOBBLIES ACES and SHORTDEAN UTD.Wobbly held a significant ten point lead prior to those results and as Chelsea is his team, rather than the resurgent Spurs of Shortdean Utd, dependent on that weekend’s results, it looks likeWobbly is long odds on to be crowned our inaugural Champion and claimthe fabulous prize of £500. Still with £200 as a second prize, it’s not a bad consolation!! ABC FC could technically win with 21 points being up for grabs but he is really a 100/1 shot, and as for me,well I’m marooned and languishing in fifth place.
So who will win our magnificent prize of £500?
Stuart Cohen ofWobblies Aces or
Phil Jordan of Shortdean Utd or
Tony Jennings of ABC FC
Next year we hope to have at least 70 entrants in our fun, free, year-long competition so look out for our entry formin the July
issue. As I mentioned last month the final monthly prize will be decided in matches played from24th March to the season’s end so that winner, our final monthly winner will be announced with our main prize nextmonth.

Reading THIS MONTH’S TIPS
The flat season is in full swing and The Derby will have run before our next column. However, I have heard good vibes fromthe John Oxx yard and the current 16/1 available for MOURAYAN is great value. On the previous day Betfair are offering 10/1 about Michael Stoute’s
ASK.You don’t need to ask the question! And finally at Royal Ascot the days of Yeats’ reign appear over and 8/1 about COASTAL PATH (Bet 365) is too good to miss. Good Punting!
