NEWPORT CABBIE’S £1,000 FROM MYSTERY TIPPER!
An hour had passed in Newport City. Already I had witnessed ancient castles and a grand cathedral. But one thing I still hadn’t found was my next sticker! So where to next with my investiga- tion?
I decided to visit the Newport Transporter Bridge. Here I discov- ered the remarkable height of the towers, which reaches 74 metres – an amazing piece of engineering. But while I could prob- ably have caught a canal boat ride, catch- ing a cabbie with my sticker was proving impossible! So I con- tinued my snooping elsewhere.
Still determined to find my sticker, I went back into the town centre, scratching my head at where I should look next. Then, as I turned into the train station, I saw it… long blonde hair, orange trilby, blue trench coat – my stick- er!

The owner was the charming Thomas Tal- bot, who was clearly thrilled with his £1000 tip. “Fantastic news,” he said, “I thought it was a wind up as I am renowned for being a bit of a joker on the rank.”
