LYTHAM LIMO COMPANY SET TO HIT SMALL SCREEN
An award winning lim- ousine company is set to be the star of a new reality television show.
Shrouded in mystery, the show will see cam- eras follow guests using Lytham-based Jet Set Limousines. The pilot was to be filmed over a weekend last month, with cam- eras installed inside all of the firm’s limou- sines, and film crews trailing the customers to and from their spe- cial events.
A £1.2 million budget has been set aside for the producers to go ahead with the show, which is currently unnamed and under a blanket of secrecy. Kevin Hinds, owner of Jet Set Limousines, has never appeared on television before
and says he is appre- hensive about how his firm will be per- ceived.
He told the Blackpool Gazette: “It was one of fear and delight in equal measure be- cause this is fly-on- the-wall stuff and anything can go wrong.
“I have to make sure for the purpose of my company everything goes well and we can deliver the perfect experience for my clients.”
Customers using the luxury cars will be interviewed on the way to their various destinations.
Mr Hinds has wel- comed the idea of a reality show at his company, and says it is all down to the unique personalities of
his drivers that clinched the deal. He paid tribute to his team of drivers, who he says won the pro- duction company over. He added: “In the end it came down to the warmth of the drivers. “They have got great personalities and I think that came across on camera. The show has also brought with it the opportunity for Mr Hinds to increase his workforce and employ more chauffeurs in time for work to com- mence on the new series.
Candidates will be provided with informa- tion about an open evening, which gives them an insight into the company before being selected for interview.
