Helsinki Boat Show 2026 records major increase in visitors

The Helsinki International Boat Show, Vene 26 Båt – often referred to as Europe’s second-largest indoor boat show – recorded attendance of nearly 55,000 visitors, bringing the show back to its 2024 level.

In 2025, attendance was down by around 10,000 – organisers claim this was due to the Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair being held during the first weekend of the boat show. The Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair will run in parallel with the boat show again in 2027.

Vene 26 Båt was held from 6-15 February 2026 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, and featured products for boating, fishing and watersports, with 400 boats on display. Most of those boats were from Finnish brands. Overall, 288 companies exhibited at the ten-day event.

“Helsinki International Boat Show is an impressive event that receives high praise also from international visitors,” says Jarkko Pajusalo, CEO of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat, which organises the event alongisde the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus).

Italy’s Sanlorenzo reports €943m order intake, up 16% in 2025

Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has reported steady growth throughout 2025. In preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2025, the yacht builder posted net revenue from new yachts of €960.4m, compared with €930.4m in 2024. The company says 2025 growth resulted from an “acceleration in demand” across the portfolio.

Order intake for 2025 was €943.1m - an increase of 16 per cent year on year, representing a €130m uplift compared to the previous year. Sanlorenzo says this was driven by the success of new model launches, brand desirability and strengthened distribution in MED, APAC and the US. Group net profit rose to €107.4m, up 4.2 per cent year on year.

The shipyard launched multiple new models, including the flagship 74 Steel superyacht, the 58 Steel, and the hybrid-electric SHE model, all of which generated immediate client interest. Q4 2025 marked the sixth consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth in order intake, with €253m new orders collected in the quarter (+10.1 per cent YoY).

The company reports a €1.96bn order book, and confirms 88 per cent of orders are secured by final clients.
