DALROD welcome’s Catriona Berry to their ever-growing Head Office team


DALRODarepleasedtowelcomeCatrionaBerry toour ever-growing HeadOffice team,bringingawide rangeof knowledge inthedrainage sector andinfranchisemanagement. Cat joins the companywith seven successful years in the drainage industry already on herCV. She’s also been in franchising formany years, beginning in 1994when sheworked forWendy’sHamburgers in America. AndCat’s passion is franchising, she explains:“I love the sector because it’s somethingwhere you can empower people and see themgo on a journey,where they develop their companymaybe into an asset to sell at the end or to pass down their family. It’s all about being process driven and having tried and tested systemswhich ensure success.” Prior to her arrival atDALROD,Catwasworkingwith the British FranchiseAssociation at the timeDALRODjoined the Bfa as amember. Catworked closelywithDALRODGeneralManager, Jon Kynaston and one of the topics discussedwas recruitment,which caughtCat’s attention. “DALRODjoined the Bfa and I spoke to Jon quite a lot about the company becoming part of the Bfa, about courses thatwere available and then about recruitment.My ears pricked upwhen Jonmentioned that theywere looking to recruit somebody to assistwith the franchise model, and personal circumstancesmade travelling toDALRODHQa lotmore viable than travelling tomy previous job.”Cat said. AndCat is clear about her objectives atDALROD:“I’mhoping to help to enhance the structure of the franchisemodel.The company have been


bringing in the right people to do the right jobs to support and growthe network organically and in terms of building our network to be able to service a wider network throughout the country. We’ve remapped the territories which gives us a clear understanding of wherewe’d like to move into oncewe’re ready to do so. It needs to be a slowand steady process over the next few years – because that allows the new franchisees to get the support, they need in their first year. I’mlooking forward toworking alongside Derek Bullivant as a FranchiseManager. Derek is better with the technical side of the job, whilst I specialise more in the business side. Togetherwe’ll be aiming to maximise business and help to showour service centres what they need to do on the ground to improve the business.” From everyone at DALROD,we’d like towelcome Cat to the company and very much look forward toworking alongside her.
