By the early 1980’s with 2 decades of collecting behind me a second disappointment collection. A new horizon became available as I began to collect glass insulators from outside of North America, with new discoveries being made along with prices being favorable. In getting serious in this endeavor, I contacted numerous collectors who traveled to foreign countries wherein new CD’s would be acquired sometimes a dozen at a time.

PG & E was upgrading many of its electric lines. This was multi-part heaven as ringed Baum patent pieces were available along with M-4384’s and Grey 4325‘s. He missed out on a 4321 that he had watched for years when the lineman gave it to a lady who liked the color. He was never able to locate her to try to acquire that
