Costa Rica

It’s been almost a year since the inaugural flight from Gatwick to Costa Rica.

The 11-hour and 20 minute flight runs twice a week in the summer months and three times a week in winter. With its expansive national parks and abundant wildlife, your

customers have a wealth of tropical forests, mountain areas, rivers, lakes and volcanoes to explore. For those looking for a relaxing break there are plentiful secluded white sand beaches. Adrenaline junkies can enjoy activities such as rafting, fishing, scuba diving, windsurfing, surfing, cycling, and golf. Operated by a Boeing 777, guests fly direct to San Jose’s Santamaria

International Airport. Customers have the choice of Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller, with each offering stylish surroundings, on-demand inflight entertainment, complimentary dining, a full bar service and a generous baggage allowance. Flights in the summer depart in the morning on Wednesdays

and Saturdays and winter flights depart in the morning on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

British Airways Lounge

The new British Airways lounge at Gatwick’s South Terminal is now open. It has more than double the seating and 40% more floor

space than the lounge at the former North Terminal base. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, a mezzanine level, a wine wall and separate spaces to work, relax or dine, the lounge aims to create a cool and relaxing environment for guests. It has been designed to showcase the ‘best of British’ with art work by the likes of Tracey Emin and Sir Terry Frost. High-speed complimentary Wi-Fi is available, as well as showers, washrooms and a kids’ zone. A separate First lounge is also available.

Terminal Change at Gatwick

British Airways has moved to Gatwick’s South Terminal. Customers now check in at Zone A and C, with 29 check-in desks and 12 self-service bag drops available. There are a number of Premium Check-in desks for First, Club World, Club Europe, Executive Club Gold and Silver customers.
