ELEWANA UNVEILS LUXURY SKYSAFARI


African safari lodge collection Elewana has introduced a SkySafari Connoisseur itinerary. The seven-night tour includes three safari experiences in Kenya, luxury accommodation, gourmet dining, game viewing and private aircraft transfers. SkySafari passengers enjoy business-class seats, fast-track airport service, butler service at all of the properties, as well as only one check-in and check-out during the journey. The SkySafari itinerary begins with a night at Hemingways, a boutique hotel neighbouring the Nairobi National Park. From Nairobi, SkySafari flies to Elsa’s Kopje, a lodge sculpted into the Mughwango Hill and overlooking the Meru National Park. Guests then head to Loisaba Tented Camp in the Loisaba Conservancy before travelling on to Sand River Masai Mara. The trip leads in at $6,595 including flights, full-board accommodation, park fees, transfers, game

OBEROI OPENS TWO NEW PROPERTIES


The Oberoi Group is expanding its footprint in the UAE by opening a property in Al Zorah. The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah, opens this month and comes four years after the group opened a hotel in Dubai. The new property, just 25 minutes from Dubai, has 113 villas, suites and penthouses. The group is also set to unveil its new property in Marrakech later this year. The hotel will be 20 minutes from the city centre, offering

NEW HOTELS FOR ANANTARA AND AVANI


Minor Hotels is to open new properties for its Anantara and Avani brands. Anantara is to gain a property in Zanzibar in 2020, while sister brand Avani is to make its European debut, as well as opening in Dubai. The Anantara Zanzibar Resort will have 100 rooms plus 50 one and two-bedroom pool villas. It will feature a kids’ club and teens’ club and three restaurants. The Avani Avenida Liberdade Lisbon Hotel will open in April. The property was previously operated under sister brand Tivoli and has just had a €1.5 million revamp. The 18-storey Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel, due toopen in 2019, will have 372 rooms. Avani has properties in destinations such as Thailand, Zambia,

MILAIDHOO ISLAND WELCOMES GUESTS


Milaidhoo Island Maldives opened at the end of last year. Each of the 50 private thatched-roof villas is serviced by butlers.
